New toys!

Another lovely day (not sewing for me) just playing.
We have a new toy in class, a die that will cut out
shapes for applique. I know some people wont like
it but it is so much fun, as you will see later.

Val brought in a quilt that she had made, all the fabrics were
bought at Jane's shop in Eccleshall. A really lovely quilt,
the quilting was flowers and butterflies by Trading post.
Val was busy sewing on the binding, a beautiful gift
for Val's granddaughter.

This is the Brownie quilt that Marion has made.
All the squares have been drawn by the Brownies.

Marion has been looking at some of Beryls scrap quilts,
so she has been downsizing her stash. She came to sew
them together to use some of them up. they maybe made
 into pinnies.

Annette has made another wash bag, this is fabric
from The fabric guild. This one has been made
slightly larger and has a waterproof lining, you can use
shower curtains from the cheaper shops like B&M,
instead of yardage . We go to Fabric Guild sometimes
as it is so reasonable. We are trying to arrange a
trip there ,also to have a meal out . This will be payed
 for from our kitty.

These are the result of our new toy, its a die that will cutout
owls or houses. After a play around we decided that the easiest
way is to pre bonderweb the fabric pieces. Jenny made an
owl in shades of grey to finish off her quilt for a guy. The pic
I took didn't do it justice so a new one will be following.

These are another set of baby bibs for Jasmine, as she is
growing so fast I've had to increase the size from 11inch
to 12.5 and these are just right. 1st tooth has arrived,
just in time as she is munching fruit and veg now.

These cushions have been embroidered on my Husqvarnsa.
Just a change for our van.
