Red Nose Day Raffle!!

We will be having a super Red Nose Day Raffle at the village hall on Wednesday 11th March
 
 
There will be cakes for sale, tea and coffee, the raffle, a stall selling Wendy's wonderful
little bags and other things and fingers crossed face painting to!
 
All proceeds will go to Comic Relief

Funny Faces

This week we were very lucky to have a visitor, Maureen brought along her beautiful blue flower blocks which were all hand sewn!  


 
Everyone else was busy on the red nose quilt,
some people have been creative at home and made funny faces
 

Jenny has created this wonderful funny clown face
 
 
Beryl has made this fantastic little girl face
 
 
Merilla made a 'blue china cat' face, which Wendy turned in to a bag! Ta Dar!
 

These are more bags which have been created by Wendy, these will be on sale at a red nose
raffle on Wed 11th March

Chris had her first attempt at applique and what a fantastic job she has done!

Funny Faces

This week we were working on our red nose quilt, we had the idea from this photo,

Sewing :)

Red nose day :O)

Just a quick note to everyone at quilting, today I have ordered our red nose day pack!!!

Red Nose Day is on Friday 13th March so we will be doing something 'funny for money' on Wednesday the 11th. I will keep everyone posted on our plans next week :)

This Wednesday was another busy day, lets see what we go up to,


Wendy has made this beautiful incubator quilt for Linus
somebody will be very lucky to receive this :)
 

 
We had that many finished Linus quilts ready to be sent off
I thought I would fit them all on one photo :)

Marion was re-upholstering another chair today,
(but I was a little busy,and I forgot to take a photo, but
I think it will be on our face book page!)
I did manage to get a pic of this fabulous wall hanging she

CAKE!!

This Wednesday was a very sad day :( I was unable to attended my much loved sewing day, but I did manage to pop in for some photos for you. Also it was Wendy's Birthday, so we had cake!!!! :)

lucky granddaughter, it has become a little to over loved so Maggie
is making some repairs
 

Annette is expecting a new baby in her family and has been assured
it is going to be a girl, so she is working on these lovely blocks to make
a beautiful quilt :)
