Donation to the Donna Louise

The Donna Louise Children's Hospice Trust was registered as a charity in 1999. It was set up to respond to the need for a children's hospice for Staffordshire and Cheshire. It takes its name from a young girl, Donna Louise Hackney, who sadly died from a life threatening condition at the age of 16.

The Donna Louise's mission

To be the centre of excellence for children and young people's palliative care.

That's why we are supporting this fantastic charity and this week our lovely Annie pie took our contribution of 16 beautiful quilts to the hospice

This is the photo Annie Pie took of our quilts being donated :)

Frixion Pen!!

Another good thing about our sewing club is sharing information about how to do things but also about bargains, one of our sewers spotted a Frixion Pen in TESCO for £3

Lots of our other ladies had brought these from craft shops or craft fairs for nearly double the price!!!

This is my little picture made in this fine pen which is fantastic
for detail!

Just pop the iron on!!

And Ta Dar!!!!

Just a quick note if you run out of space and need to store your quilts in the freezer the ink will return!!

Another lady got her pen from Sainsbury's at about the £3 mark but there are retractable and refillable ones which vary the price

I hope you found this useful
