Red Nose Update

Well our last total was a fantastic £430 for Red Nose Day, then we had a anonymous donation of £11! which made our grand total £441! Fantastic,

 

 Thanks again to everyone!!

Holiday!

Well as you may have guessed I have been away for a while, the fantastic sewing session was closed over Easter on the 8TH and I was on holiday and been really busy and forgot to upload the photos form the 25th March! I know naughty me! well lets see what we were up to,

Aunty Beryl was crocheting some beautiful blankets for charity! :) 

 

 

Cathy has added her boarders to her beautiful bargello quilt

Wendy has made this lovely Linus quilt with these beautiful colours!

 

Erica joined us again with her beautiful grey and yellow quilt, which she is hand

quilting!!! 

 



Irene has been working on these lovely cat mats!!

 



 

Wendy has also been making these wonderful cushions, made from

some fabric which was kindly donated :)

 

Chris is finishing the binding on her grandson Berty's quilt :)

 

and me, I've been asked to make a rag doll, here she is so far

Red Nose Update!!!

Well a massive well done to everyone who participated in the Red Nose day Raffle, the raffle and tombola raised a fantastic £400 and with the amazing job Cathy did with her sponsored silence she raised another £30!!

So we raised a grand total of £430!!!

 

A big thank you to everyone who donated there time, tombola items and cakes.

Irene and Margaret have been making beautiful fabric tulips :)

Lynda has been working really hard on her beautiful quilt, its got to be a big one!!!

 



 

Annette is just finishing her quilting on her baby quilt :)

Kate is just finishing of her wonderful holiday bag,

and I think she has got a few more to make now!

 



Wendy is making these fantastic bespoke bags for two very lucky

little girls

 

Kate is also making some storage bags for daughter - love the colour!

 

 

and me, I've been working on another Linus quilt :)

Quick Reminder

This is a quick reminder that our fabulous sewing session will be

closed on Wednesday 8th April and Wednesday 1st July 2015 :(

I will remind you of these dates in a few weeks and put them on the dates for your diary, at the top of the blog.

Rednose preperation!

Today Jenny brought cake!! :) so we were all very happy, she was getting ready for next week and wanted to try out her new cake topping, it was delicious!! Well back to sewing, this is the fantastic quilt everyone has been working really hard on for red nose day, the theme this year is make your face funny for money! and this quilt has lots of funny faces on :)  

 

 

This is the beautiful quilt created by our fantastic Wendy,

she has kindly donated it to be raffled off for comic relief :)

 

 

These are a few little bits which will be added to the beautiful bags

on a little craft store we will be having to help raise funds :)

That's it for another week, I am very excited for next week, we are doing lots of different things to raise money, some of us are coming in our pj's, our chatty Cathy is doing a sponsored silence! People are bring cakes for us to sell, there will be face painting, children's lucky dip, tombolo and a raffle!!  so if your free between 2-5 please pop in to see us and help us raise as much money as we can for this great cause!
